The world heads to Chile for its ideal observational conditions. Its low light pollution was the draw for such facilities as the European Southern Observatory (ESO), the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), and the forthcoming Extremely Large Telescope (ELT, the world’s largest ground-based observation center under construction at the time of this writing).
Geophysical location and a profound cultural history of mathematics and astronomical observations were fertile ground for the young Dominique to learn that there was so much gain from understanding what is around you, and, by simply looking (and thinking) up.
Before she became a female real estate developer, Dominique was enrolled in the astrophysics program at Florida International University when she quickly discovered that there was something else out there for her written in the stars.
